The short answer

JEFIT is the better choice if you want the biggest exercise library (1,400+ exercises), thousands of ready-made plans, a free logger, and watch apps. With JEFIT Elite, its Adaptive Plan runs in 4-week blocks with a planned deload week, and its Load Progression suggests your next weight. Kova: Lift & Strength Tracker focuses on one loop: a weekly plan built from your schedule and equipment, targets that update after every session from the sets you log, and a short reason each time a target changes. How does each app set your next weight?

With JEFIT Elite, Load Progression reads the sets you log and suggests weight and reps for your next session. On main lifts, you move up when you hit the top of your rep range with stable, controlled reps. The Adaptive Plan updates every week and runs in 4-week blocks: on-ramp, accumulation, intensification, and deload.

Kova uses a similar top-of-the-range rule. It sets each target from the sets you logged, raises the weight when you reach the top of the rep range, and can recommend a deload when you stall repeatedly. The difference is that every Kova target shows why it changed.

What do you get for free?
